Welcome to the website. This site is not affiliated with any neighborhood association, homeowners association or any formal organization. The site has been set up for those interested in building connections and seeking information which may be of interest or related to the Cloverbrook Farms neighborhood within Shelbyville, Kentucky.

The site was created in June 2013, and anyone is welcome to join. Parts of the site are public, and the only reason to join as a member would be to participate in the discussion pages or to receive rare news, updates and notices via email.

Respect each other.  This may be an online venue, but we’re all equals no matter where we share our thoughts and opinions.

Keep your comments focused and on topic, according to each post. This helps facilitate the best, most productive conversations.

Don’t be hateful. Disagreements can lead to great progress; however, insulting others won’t be tolerated. This includes members and non-members. For example, referring to individual employees of the developer and association management team with insulting name calling is a no-no. Comments that use obscenities, personal insults, ethnic slurs or other disparaging and/or sarcastic language will be removed.

Shaming.  Any attempt to shame others only indicates your anger is greater than the offense, and that’s all it ever says. Don’t even try.

Stay positive – or negative.  A positive attitude is always welcome but not necessary, and reactions of telling others to “stay positive” aren’t. Responding to others’ opinions, feelings or statements with phrases such as “stay positive” and “that’s negative” are very dismissive and equal to saying “just shut up”. Bring a positive or negative attitude and respond with points of discourse instead.

Arguing is encouraged. Number 1 . . . not number 2.

1. give reasons or cite evidence in support of an idea, action, or theory, typically with the aim of persuading others to share one's view."defense attorneys argue that the police lacked “probable cause” to arrest the driver"

2. exchange or express diverging or opposite views, typically in a heated or angry way. "don't argue with me"

Three strikes and you’re out. Just like baseball, you get three strikes. If a member violates the guidelines, the member will receive a notice. On the third notice, the member will be removed for thirty days of suspension. After thirty days, the member will be cordially invited to return.
